UrbanWildFlowerDolls was founded in 2004 by Deborah Grayson Bailey. A painter, quilter and mixed media artist, Grayson began creating dolls in 1993 as a way to combine her passions for working with different media (painting, textile design, sculpture and quilting) into one specific form — artistic dollmaking.
UrbanWildFlowerDolls specializes in exquisite handcrafted works of art made from cotton, silk, linen, metal, clay and beads. Special features of our dolls include hand painted and/or sculpted faces, beadwork, handsculpted accessories and surface design techniques.

I am totally in awe of your talent! Absolutely love your dolls and have been trying for a few years to figure out how to do cloth dolls. Could you recommend books/dvds, etc. on learning to paint the faces and needle sculpture. Thank you in advance for your time. Marilynn

I have two Urban Wildflower dolls and just love them more and more each year. They have become a part of my life-space. A dear facebook friend, Catherine, who lives in Africa somehow came across an article on Deborah and her dolls – and sent it to me thinking that she was someone I should know, since we live in the same city. I do.
The world just gets smaller and smaller, doesn’t it?
Deborah, wishing much success to you – and please use me as a resource! LC
